Vehicle AC Works

Your car’s air conditioner is a significant component which helps you feel comfortable while driving in any weather so you can focus your attention on where it is needed the most: on the road. Hence it comes as no surprise that it needs regular maintenance and servicing to perform at its full potential.

Signs that your AC needs help:

  • Unreliable Cooling – If the temperature in your vehicle differs from vent to vent, your refrigerant levels are probably low. It might also hint at a leak in the compressor leading to declining refrigerant levels.
  • No cold air at all – If the air conditioner in your car does not produce any cool air whatsoever, there may be an issue with the ventilation fan or even some loose hoses. It might also be because of a buildup of dust, filth, or mould in the system, which makes it challenging for the evaporator to function properly.
  • Leaking – Is there water pouring from your automobile’s air conditioner inside the car? This may be a sign that there is a clog in the drain, which, if ignored, might cause bigger and more expensive issues.
  • A Strange Smell – A strange odour wafting through the vents of the car shortly after you switch on your air conditioner shows that it needs some TLC. The smell is likely due to mould growth or a dirty cabin filter.
  • HVAC Malfunction – The entire system turns off until the next cycle once the thermostat reaches the desired temperature. ON denotes that the HVAC system is neither heating nor cooling, but the fan is continuously blowing air.
  • Whirring Noises – A damaged compressor bearing may provide a loud, high-pitched whirring sound when the air conditioner is running. On the other hand, it may be that the blower fan assembly needs to be repaired or replaced if the noise is emanating from inside the cabin.
