Uber does not let just any car start picking up riders. There is a list of regulations to meet, including a comprehensive vehicle inspection — and you cannot start driving without passing it.
What gets checked
Brakes and brake lines, steering and suspension, tires and tread depth, all exterior and interior lighting, seat belts, wipers, mirrors, horn, exhaust and the general body condition of the vehicle.
What quietly fails cars
Tread depth just under the limit. A burnt-out plate light nobody ever looks at. A seat belt that retracts lazily. A cracked windshield in the wiper path. Every one of those is a cheap fix before the inspection and a lost day after it.
We do the full inspection in-house and, if something fails, we can usually repair it the same visit so you leave certified instead of coming back.
